M-15 stretches from Clarkston in metro Detroit to Bay City through Goodrich, Davison, Otisville and Vassar.

We decided to head up Friday a.m and hit estate sales around Ann Arbor and Farmington Hills while our final destination would be Bay City, MI. This area has really cleaned up the river front and there are a lot of new restaurants, shops and condo / apartment style housing on the river. We took shelter at the Marriott Courtyard Bay City. The hotel seemed fairly new and very clean. The small bar in the lobby was more than adequate and the hotel was situated in an area with shops and restaurants. We walked across to the Real Seafood Company Bay City since it was a chain we are familiar with in our area. The dry martini was well made, service was excellent and the food was perfect.

The sale itself was larger than we thought and there were just so many stops along the way. We left Bay City after a couple of local sales at 8:30 am, and go on the road - 4 hours later we were only 60 miles down the road. Our pedometers on our watches showed we were already at 8000+ steps and we had 4 more hours to go.

Some sales were priced to sell, others were really high for some reason - but all in all, it was fun talking to residents and finding some treasures. We would definitely do this one again - next time we will go up the same was so maybe we can hit some early bird sales on the route.
